Children’s Wellbeing – “Wishing Wishes”

About Course

This course is designed to help children develop emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and build confidence and resilience. This single session covers Wishing Wishes and positive affirmation.

I use the “Meditation on Stillness”, a short 9-minute meditation for ages 5-11 years, created by Les Flitcroft. This has been validated to improve cognitive development and sharpness of mind as well as to equip children with practical life-skills and coping techniques that assist them to navigate through life’s challenging situations.

 

These sessions have proven to be invaluable in providing children with tools and techniques to assist them in emotional situations such as dealing with change, social groups, their relationships with their parents and teachers, stress and anxiety and the added pressures of modern-day life such as social media.

Each 30 min session follows a structured plan whereby each week we follow a theme.

The sessions consist of:

  • Some gentle exercises
  • The energising exercise.
  • Benefits of meditation
  • Guided meditation for ages 5+

Themes covered.

Week 1: I Can – Involves a true story to inspire positivity and self believe.

Week 2: Calmness is my superpower – Simple techniques to help calm the mind.

Week 3:  Smiling, be a ray of sunshine – How smiling can make you feel happy, confident, and how it lifts others.

Week 4:  Anger – Recognising emotion and tools to help.

Week 5: Sleep – Calming the mind to get ready for sleep.

Week 6: Wishing Wishes – Positive affirmation.

 

Each session is approximately 30 minutes.  There is the opportunity to interact during the session, if there are questions this may add 5 min.

A six-week course is £30, £5 per household. Single session purchases are £6 per household. Purchases can be made up to 3 hours before the start of the session.

On receipt of purchase, you will receive a consent form you’ll need to send back. You will then be emailed a zoom link ready for the first session.

If you have purchased the course, links for future sessions will be sent on the morning of the day the session will start to your preferred email address.

On completion of the course, you will receive a certificate.  There is also an option to purchase the meditation on stillness CD.
