Biography
Hello, I'm Martine and welcome to Talk to the Hands. My love of communication and modern languages goes back to my childhood and has never faded! After work took me to Paris and back, I decided to head in a different direction some 11 years ago and explore a new language - sign. I've worked with some amazing families over the years. It has been a privilege to help them discover early communication, whilst simultaneously feeling educated by them through their own experiences and circumstance . I hope that I can inspire you to explore, learn and evolve. Before you learn a new language (foreign or sign), be sure to get back to the basics first, of how communication is already unfolding in your mother tongue. I'm currently building on my BA Hons in Modern Language Studies with a Masters in Childhood and Youth Studies, plus level 3 British Sign Language. I love to learn but I equally love to share my knowledge.
